Our Web Site Hosting No Overselling Guarantee
While many web hosting companies oversell (What is
Overselling?) their services, Efextra does not oversell its hosting services
to any of our customers. Overselling hosting services leads to web servers being
loaded beyond their projected means of delivery. We do hosting based on
allocation which means if we have a 120 GB of hard disk space on a server and
each plan comes with 1 GB space then we will host a maximum of 120 domains.
Sounds simple, but most web hosts hosts (particularly the resellers) don't do
this.
Our site-per-server ratio is one of the lowest in the industry. The number of
web sites placed on any given hosting server is based on each site's
architecture, bandwidth requirements, and advanced features such as database
integration and/or server-side scripting. Utilization issues are proactively
monitored and servers are added and/or upgraded before customer sites are ever
affected.
The problem with overselling normally results in poor performance or downtime by
placing hundreds if not thousands of web sites on one server. This not only
reflects poorly on your hosting provider, but most importantly reflects poorly
on your organization. Overselling is mostly done because of the "cost
justification" of servers and bandwidth.
Do not be a victim of overselling! You can be confident that Efextra does not
sacrifice your site's reliability or performance by placing more sites on one
server than it can handle. Overselling is being abused by cheap hosting
companies all over the internet. A hosting server is responsible for more than
just space and bandwidth - a fact that we know well.
